As the name suggests, the film takes place with the context of summer sunshine time is about the harshness in 1980. Tae-Yoel, an activist in the student movement was not until the police arrest living in a remote village to escape. He lost all contact with friends. Tae-yeol live on the second floor of a cabin. Much of his time indoors, killing time with sleep and dream, just outside the free laundry drying, breathing and other things. One day, Tae-yeol discovered a hole in the floor looking straight down the room below. The room below was the residence of the couple Hie-ran and Sang-ho. Like Tae-yeol, Hie-ran around the room just because every time employee, Sang-ho wife are locked in the house.
